Upcoming Price Increases Due to Industry-Wide Tariff Enforcement

Dear valued Clients & Partners,

We are reaching out to inform you of anticipated price increases within the roofing industry due to the evolving global trade landscape — specifically, the reinstatement and expansion of tariffs on imported construction materials, including aluminum and steel products. These are key parts of all roofing systems. They are used for flashing, fasteners, coping caps, and more. They also include raw materials often used in roofing systems.

Comprehensive List of Manufacturer Price Increase Announcements

These changes, driven by ongoing trade tensions and newly imposed duties, are impacting the cost of raw materials across the supply chain. Manufacturers and distributors are already signaling price increases, (we have received dozens of letters from our suppliers over the last 3 weeks) and we anticipate further adjustments in the coming weeks and months.

At Best Roofing, we remain committed to transparency and proactive communication. While we have done everything possible to mitigate the effects of these increases through strategic purchasing and long-term supplier relationships, it is important to prepare for shifts in pricing on upcoming projects.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Effective Date: Material costs will begin reflecting increases as early as 4/01/2025.
  • Projects in Progress: For current contracts and proposals already in motion, we will honor existing pricing where possible. However, projects delayed significantly or requiring scope adjustments may be subject to revised pricing.
  • Future Estimates: New proposals moving forward will reflect updated material costs as they become available from our suppliers.

We understand the strain pricing volatility can place on your planning and budgeting, and we are here to work with you to navigate these changes in a thoughtful and collaborative way.

Best Roofing has a full in-house design and estimating team that is committed to finding means and methods of offsetting these costs when able through system modifications or value engineering.

If you are currently considering a roofing project, now is the time to move forward. Based on current forecasts and supplier guidance, material costs could rise by 10% or more over the next six months. Acting now could mean a significant cost savings — and securing your project before the next wave of increases takes effect.

If you'd like to discuss your options or fast-track a project you've been considering, we're here to help.

We appreciate your continued trust and partnership as we navigate these challenges together.

Warm regards,
Best Roofing Sr. Leadership Team
